Meet Tony D. Desanto, an integral part of the Embroidery Factory team.  He’s a dedicated dad to me and RJ, our long term clients know him for his friendly demeanor when delivering local orders and our in-house team, he’s the jack of all trades. Since retiring in 2013, he’s been a fixture at The Factory, helping us grow the company into what it is today. What you don’t know is there is so much more to the knowledgeable, kind-hearted soul that my kids call grandpa. Our team recently sat down with him and did a rapid fire Q&A. It was a fun exercise so we wanted to take an opportunity to share his answers so you can get to know him a bit better.

Q1. As an integral part of the EF team, can you share a little about your favorite part about the company and the role you play?

A1. I enjoy watching the company continue to grow. The success of the company is a testament to the passion and dedication that my daughter and son-in-law put forth daily. They are the definition of hard working professionals that make sure customers are satisfied with the product & service. Their ongoing efforts to negotiate fair prices that are extended to the end customer are a big part of this growth.

Q2. Being a native of Northeastern Pennsylvania, what’s most special to you about this community?

A2. NEPA has always been family oriented, a place where everyone is willing to lend a helping hand. That’s rare in the world today. Northeastern PA. has a number of great places to vacation or enjoy over a long weekend if you live in driving distance. With great people, great food and breathtaking landscapes of Mountains and Valleys, who could ask for more?. Meeting new people here is always a pleasure. Truly a great place to call home!

Q3. If you had one tip for people visiting from out of state, what would it be?

A3. You’ll be amazed at the many varieties of pizza. Be sure to try them all, especially Colarusso’s.

Q4. A musician at heart, tell us about how creativity plays a role in your life? Does this complement the work you do at EF?

A4. It all boils down to a work ethic. With my music,I always try to do my best and that applies to whatever I’m asked to do at The Factory, as well.

Q5. Being a songwriter, what inspires you most? Tell us a little bit about what this creative process looks like.

A5. My inspiration comes from life experiences and what matters most... my family and friends.

Till next time,
Elise
